Animal Care Interns:

FVWC  Interns work 20 hours per week, May through August. No experience is necessary. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   by March 1, 2015.  You must be at least 18 years old to apply. FVWC will work with any higher education facility to help obtain course credit. The earlier you apply, the better!

Wildlife Rehabilitation Interns learn the basics of wildlife rehabilitation from our specialists at the Center. Interns help with all aspects of daily animal care, from hand feeding infant mammals and birds to medicating and caring for injured adults.  Cleaning, dishes, laundry, ect is required

Interns will also help with all aspects of dealing with the public at the Center, including (but not limited to): answering phones, public education, intake of orphaned and injured animals, donation coordination and light merchandise sales in the intake area.

 

Education Interns: 

Fox Valley Wildlife Center's Education Interns do 5-15 hours a week for 12 weeks.  No experience necessary.  Must have own transportation and Feel Okay speaking in public.  No Deadline!  We are always looking for 2-3 education interns throughout the year.  If interested in an education internship email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Fox Valley Wildlife Center Education Interns are in charge of educating the public about wild animals.  Thorugh camps, programs, public events, and outings educaiton interns use wildlife embassadors to educate the public about wildlife.  Learn marketing skills, craft projects, gain public speaking skills, and learn how to use live animals for education!

  

Due to  Fox Valley Wildlife Center being a non-for-profit, we are unable to provide housing or a stipend.  Interns must arrange all housing and expenses, we are however, very flexible with scheduling
